City garbage/recycling collections shift forward through coming week

The City of Fort Worth is reminding residents of its updated schedule of garbage/recycling collection dates due to last week’s weather.

The week of Feb. 15 Monday’s collections will be made on Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Thursday, Thursday to Friday and Friday to Saturday. The city will resume its normal collection schedule starting Monday, Feb. 22.

The schedule for bulk pickups for the week of Feb. 15 week will be unaffected. Yard waste and loose brush will be picked up during weekly collections. Residents should place loose brush at the curb by 7 a.m. on their garbage/recycling pickup day.

Larger bulk pick ups are collected monthly. Residents should place items on the curb no later than 7 a.m. Monday of their assigned week. Tree limbs and yard waste can also be taken to one of the City’s three drop-off stations. For locations, visit www.FortWorthGov.org/dem or call the City Call Center.

If city crews encounter unforeseen delays, the City will post revisions to its adjusted schedule on its website, FortWorthGov.org.
